MIDAS and The Deloitte North West India Services Group hosted a celebratory Diwali Dinner at the Manchester Museum on Thursday 9th November 2017. Nick Merriman, Director of the Manchester Museum spoke about the museum’s plan to open a South Asia Gallery in 2020; Mark Hughes MBE, Group Chief Executive of the Manchester Growth Company, outlined the plans for introducing direct flights from Manchester to several major cities in India and the collaborations already taking place between the two countries and Joanne Ahmed, Global Employer Services Partner at Deloitte spoke about international partnerships. Guests included Rajeev Chopra, Global Leader for Energy & Resources at Deloitte; Professor Nalin Thakkar, Associate Vice-President and Professor of Molecular Pathology at The University of Manchester and Senior Executives from Indian businesses and UK businesses with an interest in India.
