India gets it’s own ‘Narcos’ with Arjun Rampal’s ‘Daddy’, out 8th Sept

Arjun Rampal in Daddy

Indian director Ashim Ahluwalia and actor Arjun Rampal present ‘Daddy’, their version of the hit show ‘Narcos’, based on the life of drug king Pablo Escobar, which received an incredible fan following in India when it was released a few years ago. The story showcased Escobar’s rise from being an ordinary dealer to the biggest drug mafia in South America. Daddy, is based on the life of infamous gangster turned politician Arun Gawli, who ruled Mumbai in the late 80’s and 90’s.

The power, the courage, the madness that Narcos and Daddy’s lead characters exude is unparalleled. Both expose and throw light on the fact that Gawli and Escobar, despite their larger than life personas, were God-fearing and human – a common thread that’s hard to miss.

Starring Arjun Rampal and Aishawarya Rajesh Daddy releases on 8th September 2017.
