The cast of Rangreza, Bilal Ashraf, Urwa Hocane, Gohar Rasheed along with the singer Asrar Shah travelled across the UK to promote the film ahead its release on 21st December 2017. The film features the current heart throb of Pakistan’s cinema and famed actor of Janaan, Bilal Ashraf, as well as the actress from the blockbuster Punjab Nahi Jaungi, Urwa Hocane and powerhouse screen talent Gohar Rasheed in leading roles.
The Rangreza team travelled across UK cities, Newcastle, Bradford, Manchester, Birmingham and London promoting their musical film. Among the highlights of their promotional tour was the stars visit to Newcastle upon Tyne, marking Rangreza as the Curtain Raiser for Newcastle Film Festival’s South Asian film strand for its 2018 festival. The stars enjoyed panel discussions as hosted by students of Pakistani Societies from Newcastle University, University of Bradford, University of Manchester, University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, SOAS, Birkbeck University of London, Queen Mary University of London and Imperial College London. Other highlights included the stars visit to Crossley Hall Primary School in Bradford and Fan Forums across the UK. The trailer of the film has generated buzz with the release of the chart busting songs like Bagiya and Phool Khil Jaayein, adding to the audiences’ anticipation of the film.
Marking one of the most expensive Pakistani film productions to date, Rangreza is a musical romance directed by Aamir Mohiuddin. Musical legend, Abida Parveen, features prominently on the soundtrack, composed by J.Ali, Qurram Hussain, Hamza Akram Qawwal. The film is presented by Vision Art Films, Usman Malkani Films, Distribution Club (Pvt) Ltd, Munir Hussain Films UK and Pepe’s Piri Piri and will be distributed worldwide except Pakistan by B4U Motion Pictures. Rangreza releases in cinemas on 21st December 2017.
