The Asian Women of Achievement Awards today (28th March 2017) announced the full shortlist for their 2017 Awards, celebrating some of the most extraordinary Asian women in Britain. The Awards, now in their 18th year, cut across a broad range of sectors in British life – from business and media to sport, culture and public service. With candidates from all over the UK and with heritage from all over the world including Pakistan, India, Tibet, Sri Lanka, China, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Palestine, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Nepal and Vietnam. The shortlist includes a triple World Para-Badminton Champion; a leader in the beauty industry; the most senior female Asian in the world’s largest natural resources company and the first Indian origin woman to complete a solo, transcontinental car journey.
